An Iron Dome missile intercepted a rocket fired from Gaza on Saturday evening. Before the interception, "red alert" sirens sounded in the Hof Ashkelon and Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Councils. No injuries or damages were reported.
It is likely four rockets were launched, but three fell short in Palestinian territory. No organization claimed responsibility in the aftermath of the attacks.
Earlier, a rocket launched from the Strip hit an open space in the Eshkol Regional Council. Last night, two rockets were fired from Gaza, but fell short, landing in Palestinian territory.
Meanwhile, some 40 Palestinians broke through the security barrier and entered Israeli territory during riots involving dozens of Gazans. Five Palestinians were arrested and the rest were returned to the Strip.
The Gazan Health Ministry said a 15-year-old teen and a 13-year-old boy were killed by IDF fire during clashes along the border. It said 23 Palestinians were injured, including 16 from inhaling tear gas.
