Yossi Fattal: There's a difference between the headlines and what's actually happening.

Following the spate of terror attacks in Jerusalem and elsewhere in Israel, there is concern about cancellations by tourist groups. But Israel Incoming Tour Operators Association director Yossi Fattal is not alarmed. "We're finding that there's a difference between the headlines and what's actually happening, and we hope that this difference will remain, and even widen," he said.

Fattal added that tens of thousands of tourists in organized groups touring all over Israel and in Jerusalem were not changing their plans: "Now, and the coming months, are peak times in incoming tourism to Israel, and the lively flow of tourists throughout Israel and in Jerusalem is taking place as planned, to the satisfaction of the tourists and the organizers."

Fattal went on to say, "We're in touch with the relevant parties, and welcome the increased presence of the security forces, which is giving the organizers of tourism to Israel a feeling of security and tranquility. In the coming days, we'll meet with senior Ministry of Tourism officials with the aim of bolstering the positive momentum in the flow of tourists to Israel. As the Ministry of Tourism puts it, 'Now is the time for a vacation in Israel."
