The Israeli delegation's prizes totaled NIS 320,000.

The success of the Israeli delegation at the 2015 European Games in Baku, which ended today, is worth more than a little in bonuses for the 12 medal-winners and their coaches. The athletes and coaches who reached the medal-winner's podium won a total of NIS 320,875: NIS 222,500 for the athletes and NIS 98,375 for the coaches.

The biggest prize for an individual medalist went to judoka Sagi Muki, who earned NIS 40,000 for winning the gold medal in the up to 73-kilogram weight category. He was followed by two silver medalists awarded NIS 28,000 each: judoka Uri Sasson (up to 100 kilograms) and wrestler Ilana Kartysh (up to 69 kilograms). Judoka Yarden Gerbi won the bronze medal in the up to 63-kilogram category, and received NIS 20,000.

The bonuses distributed in the judo and wrestling events were larger than in other events, because the competitions in these events in Baku were also part of the European championship. The rhythmic gymnastics team, which returned home with three medals (silver in the all-around event, silver in clubs and hoops, and bronze in the ribbon event), will receive a total bonus of NIS 70,500, distributed evenly among the five participants (NIS 14,100 each). The Israeli track and field delegation, which won a silver medal in the team event, will not receive a bonus for this achievement.

Israeli judokas won prizes totaling NIS 88,000. The rhythmic gymnastics team received NIS 85,500, the wrestling team NIS 28,000, the target shooting team NIS 15,000, and the swimming team NIS 6,000. Three organizations will pay the Israeli athletes' bonuses: the Israeli Olympic Committee, the Ministry of Culture and Sport Sport Authority, and the Toto Israel Sports Lottery.
