Final permits have been granted to the new stations on the line.

The renewed Jezreel Valley Railway will open to the public during the coming Sukkot holiday. The Ministry of Finance has announced that the head of the National Planning and Building Commission, Avigdor Yitzhaki, signed the permits today for the supply of electricity, water and telephone services to the new stations on the line: Beit She'an, Afula, Migdal Ha'emek-Kfar Baruch and Yokne'am-Kfar Yehoshua. Israel Railways will now be able to operate regular train services on the line.

The Ministry of Finance said in its announcement, "Public transport, including of course Israel Railways, has an important role to play in strengthening and consolidating the periphery of the country, and we hope that the new line will support the various programs that the National Planning and Building Commission is promoting in the north of Israel, particularly along the route of the railway."
