Israel's Justice Minister is moving to the Ramat Hahayal house from her Bavli penthouse.

Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked has bought a house in north Tel Aviv for NIS 6.7 million, sources inform "Globes". The Habayit Hayehudi minister recently concluded the purchase of the two-story, 250-sq.m. residence on Atarot Street in Ramat HaHayal, built on a 310-sq.m. lot.

Shaked was selected as Woman of the Year by "Lady Globes" - partly due to her meteoric rise from an ordinary MK to one of the most senior ministers in the current government.

Her new property is centrally located in the neighborhood, in walking distance of its main avenues. According to Israel Tax Authority figures, her new street has not had much turnover in recent years - despite the rising home prices across the neighborhood in that period.

Up to now, Shaked had been living in a penthouse apartment in a four-story building in the Bavli neighborhood of north Tel Aviv. The 95 sq. m. apartment had an additional 45 sq. m. of space on the roof. Shaked confirmed the details and said the penthouse apartment was currently for sale.

According to Akerman Realty, which operates in the neighborhood, Shaked's Bavli property benefited from the high prices in the area, even though few apartments had been sold there in recent years.

Before entering politics in 2006, she pursued a high tech career and served as marketing managing for Texas Instruments in Israel
