Microsoft chief Satya Nadella to visit Israel

Satya Nadella, CEO of US software giant Microsoft, is to visit Israel on February 25, 2016. This will be Nadella's first visit here since becoming CEO of the company. He previously visited in 2011. Nadella will be the main speaker at the Think Next conference held by Microsoft's Israeli development center. He will also meet customers, developers, and students.

Nadella became CEO of Microsoft in early 2014, and since then he has introduced many changes in the company, among them greater openness to competing platforms.

Nadella's previous role as Executive Vice President of Microsoft's Cloud and Enterprise group, responsible for building and running the company's Computing Platforms, Developer Tools and Cloud Computing Services, included responsibility for the Israel development center, and he knew its activity and management well.
