Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he did not know how many members of Knesset owned three or more residences.

In an interview with television Channel 2 News yesterday evening, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented on the plan of Minister of Finance Moshe Kahlon to impose a tax on people who own three or more residences.

"I have three homes, so I am prevented from being involved and have a conflict of interests," the prime minister said. He said he did not know how many members of Knesset were owners of three or more residences.

It is estimated that about 50,000 people in Israel own three or more residences, and many members of Knesset are believed to be among them. Criticism of the taxation measure has been growing from politicians on all sides of politics.
