The Prime Minister paid NIS 26,000 in taxes on gross income of NIS 48,800 in February.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today published his February pay slip on Twitter. The pay slip showed gross monthly income of NIS 48,800 and net monthly income of NIS 17,600.

Netanyahu paid NIS 26,000 in taxes: NIS 21,500 in income tax, NIS 2,600 to the National Insurance Institute, and NIS 2,000 in health tax.

The Prime Minister's Office explained that the exceptional difference between Netanyahu's gross and net pay is due, among other things, to deductions for his car, food, refreshment, and three mobile phones.

Netanyahu owns a large house in Caesarea, one of Israel's most expensive locations. He reportedly earned a great deal of money from giving lectures and other sources when he was out of politics.
