The investment in digital healthcare will be spread over five years.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today met in Davos with William McDermott, CEO of software company SAP, and the two men agreed on a five-year NIS 1 billion digital healthcare project. According to Netanyahu, the project will take place exclusively in Israel.

The project, which is designed to develop personalized and preventative medicine, is regarded as a revolution in the health sector. Netanyahu will bring the initiative to the cabinet for approval, because its aspects require access to highly sensitive digital health databases.

Netanyahu told McDermott, "I want to talk to you about many subjects. You have already been in Israel, and we want you to visit there more often. Specifically, we have a project in digital health that we have started. We would be glad if you would be a partner in it; it is a great opportunity."

McDermott answered, "It's a deal; we're in business. Prime Minister, it will be a pleasure to do this with you. It sounds very exciting. Your government is being run very well. No other government in the world would do this. So, first of all, thank you very much for the business.
