The prime minister and minister of finance are meeting about the budget tonight.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister of Finance Moshe Kahlon are scheduled to meet tonight in order to reach agreement about the budget. It appears that Netanyahu will have to forego his plan to pass a three-year budget for 2015-2017 and settle for a budget covering 2015-2016 only.
The first budget meeting is slated for Thursday. Under the planned timetable, the cabinet is expected to approve the budget on July 26, and the it will be sent to the Knesset on September 2.
