Tnuva, Strauss, and Tara are barred from the PA in retailation for Israel banning Palestinian dairy products.
The Palestinian Authority (PA) today decided at its weekly meeting to ban the entry of food products produced by five Israel food companies into PA territory: Tnuva Food Industries Ltd., Strauss Group Ltd. (TASE:STRS), the Jafora-Tabori beverages company, Soglowek, and Tara Dairy.
Sales in the PA by Tnuva, Strauss, and Jafora-Tabori are each believed to amount to hundreds of millions of shekels, while sales there by Soglowek and Tara are fairly small.
The PA said that its decision was in response to Israel's ban on the entry into Israel of dairy products made by Palestinian companies, mainly in Jerusalem.
