The condition of Israel's 93 year old former president and prime minister has significantly deteriorated.

The condition of Israel's former president and prime minister Shimon Peres has worsened say doctors at Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer near Tel Aviv. Peres, 93, was hospitalized over two weeks ago following a massive stroke. During this period, his doctors had reported that he was stable and that there had even been a slight improvement in his condition. However, today they say that his condition has significantly deteriorated.

Doctors say that his kidney and respiratory functions are worsening and there is serious concern of multiple organ failure and that he has probably suffered irreversible neurological damage.
