The US soft-drink giant will offer 4-pack capsules for use in the Israeli firm’s soda machines.

Beverage giant PepsiCo announced Friday that it would offer a variety of capsules for use in Sodastream International Ltd. (Nasdaq: SODA) machines, as part of its expansion in the home-brewed market. A 4-pack of capsules will cost $3.50, according to a “Wall Street Journal” report.

The development extends the relationship between the two companies, dating back to October 2014 when SodaStream announced it would sell a number of PepsiCo brands in a part of Florida.

The move is intended to intensify the competition for Coca Cola’s partnership with Keurig Green Mountain, which plans to launch a beverage machine for the home. It is also meant to halt the continuing drop in SodaStream sales in the US.

The Israeli company’s share price rose by 6.4% on Wall Street after the report.
