Sun: TASE falls hard for third straight session

Pharmaceutical cos Mylan, Teva and Perrigo led today's heavy losses but Bezeq bucked the market.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange fell today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index fell 1.73% to 1,413.84 points; the Tel Aviv 100 Index fell 1.72%, to 1,224.58 points; and the BlueTech Index fell 1.51% to 328.04 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index rose 0.13% to 318.48 points. Trading turnover was NIS 607.3 million.

On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate down 0.186% on Thursday before the end of Passover holiday at NIS 3.761/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set up 0.110% at NIS 4.272/€.

On the market, Mylan N.V. (Nasdaq: MYL; TASE: MYL) fell 7.32% for the biggest loss on the Tel Aviv 25 Index today and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) fell 4.33% on the day's biggest trading turnover. Perrigo Company (NYSE:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) fell 3.43% and Opko Health Inc. (NYSE: OPK; TASE: OPK) fell 2.41%.

Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) fell 1.06% and its energy exploration and production units Avner Oil and Gas LP (TASE: AVNR.L) and Delek Drilling LP (TASE: DEDR.L) fell 1.56% and 2.15% respectively. Israel Chemicals (TASE: ICL: NYSE: ICL) fell 2.54%.

Only three shares on the Tel Aviv 25 Index rose today. Paz Oil Company Ltd. (TASE:PZOL) rose 0.09%, Strauss Group Ltd. (TASE:STRS) rose 0.17% and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) rose 1.07% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 25 Index today.
