Sun: TASE flat in thin trading

Israel Chemicals, Teva and the big two banks rose fairly strongly today, but volumes were low.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange closed fairly flat today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose by 0.02%, to 1,433.48 points; the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose by 0.15%; to 1,279.23 points; and the BlueTech Index rose by 0.35%, to 299.56 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index fell 0.10%, to 326.60 points. On the first day back after the Sukkot holiday break, turnover was a very low NIS 591 million.

Today's most heavily traded shares was Israel Chemicals, which rose 0.51%, in advance of the release tomorrow of the recommendations of the Sheshinski 2 committee on the state's take from natural resources. Teva rose by 1.55%, Bank Hapoalim by 1.15%, and Bank Leumi by 0.55%. Delek Group fell 1.18%.

Protalix, which has been linked to a possible treatment for Ebola, put on another 6.59%, and Perion Networks rose 5.44%.
