Survey finds Rishon Lezion has highest housing demand

Rishon Lezion and Haifa are the most popular locations for Israeli seeking to buy an apartment, a survey by real estate marketing company Eldar Four You found. The survey was conducted as part of Eldar4You's promotion of the Kiryat Omanim project in Rishon Lezion for the Dunietz real estate company.

Tel Aviv and Jerusalem were not included in the survey because demand in those cities is always high and inelastic.

Eldad For You surveyed 1,000 people for the Alon Group You consumer loyalty club. Rishon Lezion was the first choice for 13% of homebuyers followed by Haifa (12%), Ramat Gan, Hod Hasharon and Rehovot (11%), Givatayim (10%), Holon, Bat Yam (7%), Ashkelon (5%) and Petah Tikva, which for more than a decade was the most popular location for homebuyers but has lost ground as land reserves dwindle.
