Tadiran officially announces Supergas acquisition

Tadiran Holdings is paying NIS 250 million to buy Supergas from Azrieli unit Granite Hacarmel.

Following the report by "Globes" on Thursday last week, Tadiran Holdings Ltd. (TASE: TDRN), controlled by Moshe Mamrod, officially announced this morning that it would acquire gas distributor Supergas for NIS 250 million from Granite Hacarmel, a unit of <a target=new href=http://www.azrieligroup.com>Azrieli Group Ltd.</a> (TASE: <a href=Javascript:viewInstrument('1119478',45,'EN')>AZRG</a>).

<p>The acquisition price will partly be paid by means of a loan from Granite Hacarmel to Tadiran, which undertook to pay NIS 2 million on the signing of the memorandum of understanding. Completion of the deal is subject to due diligence and regulatory approvals.

<p>The main business of Supergas, which employs 350 people, is the sale and supply of liquefied petroleum gas for industrial and domestic use. It also constructs and operates natural gas distribution networks through a subsidiary jointly owned with Shapir Engineering.
