Thu: Delek down on flat TASE

Delek and its energy units led the declines and Perrigo was the biggest gainer as the TASE ended a short holiday week. The TASE reopens Tuesday.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) was flat today on thin trading as it ended a short holiday week. The market reopens Tuesday after the Simhat Torah holiday. The Tel Aviv 25 Index fell 0.01% to 1,429.76 points; the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.06% to 1,251.35 points; and the BlueTech Index fell 0.10% to 352.91 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index rose 0.11% to 321.20 points. Trading turnover was NIS 568 million.

On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate up 0.419% from yesterday's rate at NIS 3.835/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set up 0.179% at NIS 4.207/€.

On the market, Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) fell 0.77% and its energy exploration and production units Avner Oil and Gas LP (TASE: AVNR.L) and Delek Drilling LP (TASE: DEDR.L) fell 1.46% and 1.14% respectively. Avner's fall was the biggest on the Tel Aviv 25 Index today.

Melisron Ltd. (TASE: MLSR) fell 1.15% and Strauss Group Ltd. (TASE:STRS) fell 1.11%.

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) rose 0.36% on the day's biggest trading turnover. Perrigo Company (NYSE:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) rose 1.49% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 25 Index today. Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) rose 0.67% and Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) rose 0.68%.
