Thu: Tel Aviv 25 up 3.4% for week to new record

Teva had the largest rise on the Tel Aviv 25 Index and Gazit-Globe the biggest fall.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) rose today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.57% to 1,715.58 points - a new record, the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.44% to 1,483.05 points, and the BlueTech 50 Index rose 0.07% to 375.31 points. Turnover was NIS 1.35 billion.

The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 3.4% for the week and has risen 17.1% since the beginning of 2015.

In the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate down 0.361% from yesterday's rate at NIS 3.86/$, and set the shekel-euro representative exchange rate at NIS 4.303/€, down 0.039%.

In the bond market, the corporate bond benchmark Tel-Bond 20 Index rose 1.35%.

In the stock market, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) rose 2.38% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 25 Index on the day's biggest trading volume and Azrieli Group Ltd. (TASE: AZRG) rose 2.09%. Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) rose 1.51%.

Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) rose 1.5% and Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) rose 1.85% but Israel Discount Bank (TASE: DSCT) fell 0.87%.

Gazit-Globe Ltd. (NYSE: GZT; TASE: GZT; TSX: GZT) fell 2.57% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 25 Index and Paz Oil Company Ltd. (TASE:PZOL) fell 1.06%.
