Tue: Teva tumbles as TASE fall continues

Teva led the losses on the market as Delek lost more ground but Israel Chemicals rose.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) fell today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index fell 0.98% to 1,563.06 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index fell 1.13%, to 1,370.92 points and the BlueTech Index fell 1.38%, to 337.65 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index fell 0.16% to 316.19 points. Turnover totaled NIS 1.60 billion.

On the foreign exchange market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel dollar representative rate down 0.178% from yesterday's rate at NIS 3.923/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set up 0.379% at NIS 4.42/€.

On the market, Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) fell a further 1.08% after yesterday's sharp falls. Delek Drilling Limited Partnership (TASE: DEDR.L) fell 1.08% but sister energy exploration and production company Avner Oil and Gas LP (TASE: AVNR.L) rose 0.53%.

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) fell 3.35% on the day's biggest trading turnover and Opko Health Inc. (NYSE: OPK; TASE: OPK) fell 3.57% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 25 index. NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE) fell 3.05%, Paz Oil Company Ltd. (TASE:PZOL) fell 2.25%, and Osem Investments Ltd. (controlled by Nestle SA (SWX:NESN)) (TASE: OSEM) fell 2.63%.

Israel Chemicals (TASE: ICL: NYSE: ICL) rose 1.72% and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) fell 2.07% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 25 Index.
