VAT and income tax deadline extended

The Tax Authority has extended the deadline until July 20 due to the security situation.

As Operation Protective Edge enters its seventh day the Ministry of Finance and Tax Authority have moved to help businesses and the self-employed that are struggling to cope because of the security situation.

Minister of Finance Yair Lapid instructed the Tax Authority to ease the situation for businesses and the self-employed around the country. Consequently Tax Authority Head Moshe Asher has decided to extend the deadline for VAT payments and income tax advance payments until next Sunday July 20 (instead of July 15).

Residents in the south have a further extension until July 25 to pay their VAT and income tax.
