Wed: Energy stocks help TASE recovery

Delek and its units rose sharply with Leumi and Hapoalim among other big gainers.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) rose today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 1.87% to 1,592.33 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 1.56%, to 1,392.29 points and the BlueTech Index rose 1.19%, to 341.68 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index rose 0.23%, to 315.47 points. Turnover totaled NIS 1.26 billion.

On the foreign exchange market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel dollar representative rate up 0.178% from yesterday's rate at NIS 3.930/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set up 0.149%, at NIS 4.427/€.

In the market, Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) rose 4.59%. Avner Oil and Gas LP (TASE: AVNR.L) rose 7.06% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 25 Index and sister company Delek Drilling Limited Partnership (TASE: DEDR.L) rose 6.60%. Isramco Ltd. (Nasdaq: ISRL; TASE: ISRA.L) rose 4.75%.

Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) rose 2.40% on the day's biggest trading turnover and Paz Oil Company Ltd. (TASE:PZOL) rose 3.10%. Opko Health Inc. (NYSE: OPK; TASE: OPK) rose 2.79% and Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) rose 2.59%. Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) rose 3.06% and Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) rose 2.63%.

Only four shares on the Tel Aviv 25 Index fell with Perrigo Company (NYSE:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) down 0.52% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 25 Index.
