Wed: Real estate cos lead TASE to another record

Gazit-Globe and Melisron led the rises on the market today but Teva and Perrigo fell.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) rose today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.31% to 1,630.83 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.27% to 1,421.12 points, and the BlueTech 50 Index rose 0.05% to 377.36 points. Turnover was NIS 1.36 billion.

In the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate at NIS 3.974/$, down 0.151% on yesterday's rate, and set the shekel-euro representative exchange rate at NIS 4.278/€, down 0.115%.

In the bond market, the corporate bond benchmark Tel-Bond 20 Index rose 0.07%.

In the stock market, Gazit-Globe Ltd. (NYSE: GZT; TASE: GZT; TSX: GZT) rose 3.86% for the largest rise on the Tel Aviv 25 Index. Melisron Ltd. (TASE: MLSR) rose 2.38% and Azrieli Group Ltd. (TASE: AZRG) rose 1.16%.

Osem Investments Ltd. (controlled by Nestle SA (SWX:NESN)) (TASE: OSEM) rose 1.87% and Strauss Group Ltd. (TASE:STRS) rose 1.98%. Other gainers were Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) up 1.78% and Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) up 2.08%.

The three pharmaceutical shares on the Tel Aviv 25 Index all fell. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) fell 1.64% on the day's biggest trading turnover. Perrigo Company (NYSE:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) fell 2.5%, and Opko Health Inc. (NYSE: OPK; TASE: OPK) fell 2.8% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 25 Index.
