Wed: TASE lets record slip

Israel Discount Bank rose on strong results but Bank Hapoalim fell back despite good financials.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) fell today despite hitting new heights for most of the session. The Tel Aviv 25 Index fell 0.15% to 1,705.94 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index fell 0.16% to 1,476.50 points, but the BlueTech 50 Index rose 0.01% to 375.06 points. Turnover was NIS 1.45 billion.

In the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate up 0.571% from yesterday's rate at NIS 3.874/$, and set the shekel-euro representative exchange rate at NIS 4.304/€, down 0.292%.

In the bond market, the corporate bond benchmark Tel-Bond 20 Index fell 0.03%.

In the stock market, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) fell 0.47% on the day's largest trading turnover. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) fell 1.04%, giving up some of its recent gains, and Frutarom Industries Ltd. (TASE: FRUT; LSE:FRUT; OTCBB:FRUTF) fell 1.91% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 25 Index.

Israel Discount Bank (TASE: DSCT) rose 1.97% after reporting strong results but Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) fell 0.74% despite reporting strong financials.

Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) fell 1.80% and its energy units Avner Oil and Gas LP (TASE: AVNR.L) and Delek Drilling Limited Partnership (TASE: DEDR.L) rose 1.14% and fell 0.75% respectively.
