Wed: Tel Aviv 25 Index down 0.8% in September

Opko, Mylan and Gazit-Globe led the market down today but Bezeq and NICE ended the month on a positive note.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange fell today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index fell 0.13% to 1,447.01 points and ended the month down 0.8%; the Tel Aviv 100 Index fell 0.19% to 1,271.53 points; and the BlueTech Index fell 0.16% to 350.64 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index fell 0.10% to 323.77 points. Trading turnover was NIS 1.16 billion.

On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate up 0.106% from yesterday's rate at NIS 3.786/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set down 0.095% at NIS 4.22/€.

On the market, Opko Health Inc. (NYSE: OPK; TASE: OPK) fell 2.83% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 25 Index. Gazit-Globe Ltd. (NYSE: GZT; TASE: GZT; TSX: GZT) fell 2.02%. Isramco Ltd. (Nasdaq: ISRL; TASE: ISRA.L) fell 2.43% and Mylan N.V. (Nasdaq: MYL; TASE: MYL) fell 2.50%.

Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) rose 1.31% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 25 Index and NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE) rose 1.30%. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) rose 0.10% on the day's biggest trading turnover, and Frutarom Industries Ltd. (TASE: FRUT; LSE:FRUT; OTCBB:FRUTF) rose 0.45%.

Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) rose 0.50% and Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) rose 0.55%.
