The Israel-Latvia flights begin in June with tickets already on sale starting from NIS 239 one-way.

Low-cost airline Wizz Air will launch a new route between Tel Aviv and Riga in the summer. From June 20, Wizz Air will operate two weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays between Tel Aviv and Riga.

Tickets are already on sale with fares starting at NIS 239 (one way with all taxes included).

The Central and Eastern European low-cost airline already operates flights between Ben Gurion Airport and nine destinations in Europe - Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca in Romania, Budapest (Hungary), Warsaw and Katowice in Poland, Prague (Czech Republic), Sofia (Bulgaria), Vilnius (Lithuania) and Lviv (Ukraine). In July, Wizz Air will also begin operating flights between Tel Aviv and Iasi in Romania.

Wizz Air communications manager Gabor Vasarhelyi said: “Wizz has today delivered great news for Israeli consumers. Riga is now available on our low fares from Tel Aviv allowing business and leisure travelers to visit the “pearl of the Baltic Sea” from only NIS 239. Stimulating air travel between Israel and Latvia, we see tourism and hospitality sectors benefiting from our newest service as well as strengthening business relations between the two countries."
