From 8pm Thursday night there will be traffic changes as construction begins on the underground station.

NTA announced earlier this week that work will begin on Ramat Gan's Bialik Station at 8 pm Thursday evening, as part of the Tel Aviv light rail project. Preparatory work around the site has been underway for several months but the major digging and construction begins tonight.

The Bialik underground station is on Jabotinsky Street, the main thoroughfare in Ramat Gan running from the Diamond Exchange through to the Geha Interchange on Road 4. The station, near the junction of Jabotinsky and Bialik Street will be between Abba Hillel Station to the west by the Diamond Exchange and Ben Gurion Station to the east in Bnei Brak.

At 8 pm this evening traffic will be halted on Jabotinsky Road going from west to east between the Hamavdil junction and the Bialik junction. Public transport will continue to operate along this section of the road. From 12.30 am traffic will be halted in both directions.
