Telecommunications provider Netia has selected Alvarion’s BreezeMAX 3600 for a 20 city WiMAX deployment in Poland.
Wireless broadband solutions provider Alvarion Ltd. (Nasdaq: ALVR; TASE: ALVR) today announced that it won another contract in Europe, this time in Poland. Polish telecommunications provider Netia SA (WSE:NET) has selected Alvarion’s BreezeMAX 3600 for a 20 city WiMAX deployment in Poland.
Last week, Alvarion announced that Pan-European telecommunications provider WiMAX Telecom AG selected the company’s BreezeMAX 3500 to expand networks in Austria and Slovakia. The size of the contract was not disclosed, but market sources estimate it at several million dollars.
