El Al: To the best of its knowledge, similar investigations into air cargo transport are underway against other airlines.
El Al Israel Airlines Ltd. (TASE: ELAL) reported today that the US Federal Court for the District of Columbia has subpoenaed the airline as part of an investigation by the US Department of Justice Antitrust Division. El Al officials have been summoned to appear before a grand jury on November 1.
The Department of Justice is investigating El Al for possible price fixing on cargo routes in violation of antitrust laws.
El Al said that, to the best of its knowledge, similar investigations into air cargo transport were underway against other airlines.
