BlogHer co-founder at “Globes” conference

Jory Des Jardins will talk at the Internet and Communications Conference 2007.

The media scene is changing, and the traditional ways of reaching the women’s audience is changing with it. In the US, a third of media consumption is now online, more time than is devoted to watching television, and far more than is spent reading the print media.

BlogHer co-founder Jory Des Jardins says that women in particular are rushing in droves to the internet, especially to social networks, which provide them a quick means for obtaining information, recommendations and contacts. Des Jardins will address the Internet and Communications Conference 2007 sponsored by “Globes”, Kesselman & Kesselman PricewaterhouseCooper Israel, and Channel 2 franchisee Reshet Television Ltd., on June 19 at the David Intercontinental Hotel in Tel Aviv.

Blogher is the largest community and guide of women bloggers. Des Jardins will speak about the power of women bloggers, which form the bulk of the word-of-mouth rumor industry and who are responsible for most household purchases. Des Jardins will explain how to reach these influential women, what excites and what repels them, and how companies can meet the challenge of creating for them a unique experience that will attract them.

For a decade, “Globes” has hosted the Communication and Media Conference, considered one of the country's major events in the sector. This conference brings together top people of worldwide relevance in the industry to hear the latest developments in global telecommunications, media, computing, and the Internet as they are of particular relevance for Israel, a country known as an early adopter of advanced technologies and a test case for the immense changes underway in these fields.
