Teledata launches new high bandwidth solution

The company’s BroadAccess-100 will support triple-play services.

Multi-service access solutions developer Teledata Networks Ltd. has launched its BroadAccess-100, a Mini IP Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer (DSLAM), which enables telecommunications providers to deliver high bandwidth services in Fiber-to-the-Node (FTTN) configurations and seamlessly upgrade to triple-play services.

BroadAccess-100 is the newest addition to the Teledata BroadAccess multi-service platform family. It is a compact, environmentally hardened broadband access system which is used to upgrade narrowband remote access systems as well as deliver broadband from remote outdoor cabinets or multi-tenant units (MTU).

The system’s advanced Ethernet functionality and support of DSL Forum TR-101 standard address specific needs of local telecommunications providers, enabling them to extend new services to small clusters of subscribers, and facilitating their transition to Triple Play. The system is already being used by telecommunications providers in Kazakhstan, Argentina and Bolivia.

Elron Electronic Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq: ELRN; TASE: ELRN), Kardan NV (TASE: KRNV;AEX:KARD), and Israel Infinity Venture Capital own Teledata.
