Organizers stand to make NIS 10m on Paul McCartney Israel show

This is even before profit from sponsorships.

The producers of the single appearance by Paul McCartney in Israel expect to make NIS 10 million on the event, even before taking into account profit from sponsorships. The businessman backing the event, Yakir Sha'ashua believes it will attract a capacity crowd to the Hayarkon Park in Tel Aviv, which can accommodate up to 70,000 people.

The cost of bringing ex-Beatle McCartney to Israel will reach NIS 30 million, half of which will go to McCartney and his promoters, while the other half will cover production costs. At a price of NIS 1,500 for a front row ticket and NIS 500 for a place on the park itself, the promoters will have to sell 50,000 tickets only to cover the cost. This is the initial quantity which will go on sale at the Leean ticket offices.

If the event is sold out early enough, the promoters may add an extra 20,000 discounted tickets, some of which will be subsidized by commercial companies and worker's committees, as is the usual practice with shows like these.
