Red Bend signs significant Japan deal

Red Bend: The agreement with NTT DoCoMo signals the acceleration of market adoption of mobile software management.

Mobile software management (MSM) solutions developer Red Bend Software Ltd. has signed a multi-year agreement to license its solutions to NTT DoCoMo Inc. (NYSE: DCM; LSE: NDCM; TSE: 9437) a leading global mobile operator and provider of advanced mobile services.

The software start-up noted that the agreement with NTT DoCoMo was a major milestone for Red Bend in licensing its full portfolio of MSM solutions directly to a tier one operator, and signals the acceleration of market adoption of mobile software management.

Red Bend CEO Yoram Salinger founded the company in 1999. It had $30 million in sales in 2008. The company develops solutions for updating firmware over-the-air (FOTA), management of software components over-the-air (SCOTA), and device management client for machine-to-machine (M2M) communications.
