Sheldon Adelson will come to Israel in late December for the expanded distribution of freesheet "Israel Today's" weekend edition. He will attend the celebrations marking the launch and will make a speech to 500 Israeli businesspeople. "Israel Today" CEO Asher Baharav will also speak at the event.

"Israel Today" launched its weekend edition three weeks ago, with a print run of 100,000 copies. Adelson's arrival in Israel reportedly reflects an increase in circulation, with the weekend edition nearing the 250,000 print run of the paper's daily edition.

The freesheet's weekend edition are still free; there is talk of charging for it at some point.
