Tadiran Communications unit wins $2.9m contract from US Marines

Tallahassee Technologies will supply toughened handheld computers.

Tadiran Communications (TASE:TDCM) US subsidiary Tallahassee Technologies will supply toughened handheld computers for the US Marine Corps in a $2.9 million contract.

This is a follow-on order for a previous $12 million order for the same devices for different branches of the US military.

Tadiran Communications also won a contract to supply 1,000 toughened military handheld computers to the IDF. Elbit Systems (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE:ESLT) also participated in the tender. Tadiran Communications will initially deliver 400 computers at a cost of $1 million. The remaining 600 computers, costing $1.5 million, will be delivered later.
