Manpower Israel: July demand for IT staff up 123%

The rise is demand in July was most striking for network managers and support personnel 384%, compared with July 2003.

Manpower Israel subsidiary Manpower Information Technology (MIT) reports that demand for high-tech personnel was up sharply in July 2004, compared with both June 2004 and July 2003.

A survey of help wanted advertisements showed that July demand for high-tech employees was 30% higher than in the preceding month, and 123% higher than in July last year. The increase encompassed all professions. The rise is demand in July was most striking for network managers and support personnel 384%, compared with July 2003.

The second steepest rise in demand compared with July 2003 was 345%, for hardware engineers, followed by 258% for programmers, 240% for managers, and 209% for software engineers. Demand for all professions was up by at least 100%.

In comparison with June 2004, the biggest rise was 41% for programmers, followed by 37% for team leaders and project managers.
