The aggregate capital of Israel’s millionaires was $21.6 billion at the end of 2005, 18% of Israel’s GDP.
According to a new survey conducted by economic ministries in Jerusalem, Israel has over 6,000 millionaires, each of whom has over $1 million in liquid capital. 60 of these millionaires have over $30 million each in liquid capital. The aggregate capital of Israel’s millionaires was $21.6 billion at the end of 2005, 18% of Israel’s GDP.
The public’s financial portfolio, including liquid assets (index-linked, unlinked shekel, and foreign currency linked instruments, and Israeli and foreign stocks) totals $420 billion, more than 3.5 times Israel’s GDP.
