Prof. Goshen will replace Moshe Tery at the end of January.

Minister of Finance Ronnie Bar-On has selected Prof. Zohar Goshen as the new chairman of the Israel Securities Authority. Goshen, who is a professor of law at Columbia University in New York and a lecturer at the Ono Academic College, is an expert in company and antitrust law. He chaired the committee set up by outgoing Securities Authority chairman Moshe Tery, which recommended the adoption by companies of an ethical code of corporate conduct. The issue is now being considered for legislation, following an agreement between the Securities Authority and the Ministry of Justice.
"Globes" reported yesterday that Prof. Goshen and Prof. Shmuel Hauser of the Department of Business Administration at Ben Gurion University had been shortlisted for the role of securities authority chairman, by a selection panel headed by Ministry of Finance director general Yarom Ariav. Sources inform ''Globes'' that an approach was also made to Adv. Ronen Adini, a securities expert. Adini has filed for an injunction against the Securities Authority in the High Court of Justice to ban it from publishing decisions relating to staff matters.
