Internet analysis start-up Amadesa raises $5.4m
Shlomo Dovrat's Carmel Ventures made the investment.
Amadesa was founded in 2004 by CEO Israel Avi Kedmi and CTO Avihai Ozana. The company's technology provides dynamic content display (via onsite behavioral targeting), product recommendations, shopping cart, and billing form optimization, lead generation data collection optimization, and A/B and multivariate testing capabilities designed to deliver greater returns on marketing dollars spent acquiring website traffic. Offering both a managed service and self-service solutions, the company’s focus is on increasing client’s top line revenues through an improved visitor experience on the website. Amadesa CEO David Efergan was formerly VP operations at Digital River Inc. (Nasdaq: DRIV). The company is based in Chicago and has offices in New York and a development center in Israel.
Amadesa's case studies on its site mention a B2C technology company, which it claims saw a "7% lift in checkout completions for the renewal purchase process leading to gains of $15.6 million per year"; and a B2C lifestyle company, which saw an "average 73% gain in effective revenue per visitor in the past three months leading to gains of $1.2 million per year."
