A study of Israeli companies that have international business reports that Amdocs Ltd. (NYSE: DOX), Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq: TEVA; TASE: TEVA), Ormat Industries Ltd. (TASE: ORMT), and Israel Chemicals Ltd. (TASE: ICL) are the top four Israeli multinationals accounting for 77% of the aggregate international assets of Israel's top 15 multinational firms. The four companies' aggregate international assets total $6 billion.

The study was jointly conducted by Tel Aviv University, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Manufacturers Association of Israel, and Columbia University. The study examined the international activity of companies in emerging markets, and aimed at establishing the level of globalization of these companies and their contributions to the economy.

Only 15 companies whose international assets exceeded $5 million in 2006 were included in the study. These companies have 63,000 employees overseas and owned $7.5 billion in aggregate international assets.

The study did not include companies such as Iscar Ltd., msystems, or Indigo-HP, which were acquired by foreign multinational corporations and were not considered as Israeli companies for the purpose of the survey.
