The capital seeks young biomed firms.
Bio Jerusalem is offering grants amounting to NIS 30,000 per employee to biomedical companies that move to the city, up to NIS 300,000 a year. High-tech companies will be eligible for a smaller grant of NIS 20,000 per employee, up to a maximum of NIS 200,000.
Eligible companies may have up to 20 employees, and be no more than four years old in the case of high-tech firms or six years old in the case of biomedical firms.
Bio Jerusalem is a program of the Jerusalem Development Authority aimed at promoting life sciences industry in the capital. The grants are financed by NIS 280 million seven-year Jerusalem growth encouragement program approved by the government in 2005.
