Motorola fires staff in Israel

The wave of layoffs in the Israeli economy has reached high-tech giants as well.

The wave of layoffs in the Israeli economy has reached high-tech giants as well, as Motorola Israel has decided to fire tens of employees.

The company is looking to raise efficiency throughout its global operations.

Motorola has varied operations in Israel, including a production facility in Arad, and a large development center.

It is believed that the laid-off workers are not from the Tel Aviv development center, but from other areas.

Motorola said, "The company matches its needs to business reality, and within that framework is cutting, as well as recruiting employees, as part of the routine ending and beginning of projects".
