Nanotech activity in Israel jumps 150%
The number of companies in this sector has risen from 45 to 75 over the past three years.
Vilenski also said that, over the same period, the number of companies active in the sector rose from 45 to 75. Vilenski was speaking ahead of NanoIsrael 2009, Israel's first ever international nanotechnology conference, which will be held at Jerusalem's Inbal Hotel March 30-31 in collaboration with "Globes."
INNI, a joint venture of the government, academia, and industry has so far raised $250 million from investors for a number of priority applied research sectors, setting up national infrastructures and assisting companies entering this field.
