Barak cuts asking price for Tel Aviv home by 25%

The Defense Minister bought the Akirov Tower apartment for $2.5 million in 2003.

Labor Party chairman and Minister of Defense Ehud Barak has cut the asking price for his 485-square meter five-room apartment in the luxury Akirov Towers on Pinsker Street in Tel Aviv to NIS 30 million (about $8 million) from NIS 40 million. He bought the apartment for $2.5 million in 2003.

The apartment covers the entire 31st floor of the 34-storey western tower of the three-tower project. Although without balconies, the living room has a sea view.
