Elton John tickets to cost NIS 350-1,000

The singer will perform at the Ramat Gan Stadium on June 17.

Elton John will make his third concert in Israel on June 17 at the Ramat Gan Stadium. The stadium will seat 15,000 people on the grass and 32,000 in the stands for the event. Tickets will cost between NIS 350 for the upper-tier stands and NIS 1,000 for seats in front of the stage.

International producer Marcel Avram and the management of Israel Discount Bank (TASE: DSCT) are hosting the concert in the wake of the dizzying success of the Leonard Cohen concert at the Ramat Gan Stadium in September 2009. Avram will produce the concert, and Discount Bank will provide the NIS 4 million sponsorship, and will buy about half of the tickets for its customers, which it will sell at a discount.

Discount Bank will begin selling tickets to customers on February 9. It will charge between NIS 250 for the upper-tier stands and NIS 900 for seats in front of the stage. In this way Avram and the bank hope to create strong advance demand, since the bank's customers will want to get the discount and reserve the limited number of seats set aside.
