Start-up Discover Medical Devices Ltd. has obtained EU CE Mark certification for its sleep apnea mask, which is considered much more convenient than current masks.

300 million people worldwide suffer from sleep apnea, some of whom cannot adapt to current treatments. Tel Aviv-based Discover Medical Devices recently reported good results in its first human clinical trial on volunteers for its continuous positive air pressure mask.

Discover Medical Devices CEO Eran Lavi said, "This is a big step forward for us. This certification means that our device is more comfortable than current masks, and suitable for patients who cannot adapt to the current treatment."
