Mazor sells surgical equipment to Russian hospitals

Mazor: At least one hospital now uses the Go-LIF implants as part of its standard procedure for spinal surgery.

Mazor Surgical Technologies Ltd. (TASE:MZOR) has made the first sale of its proprietary Go-LIF spinal implants to a Russian hospital. The Go-LIF implants are used in the company's a minimally invasive spinal surgery procedure.

Each implant costs €1,000-1,800 in Europe, and the company expects the cost in the US at $5,000-8,000. Revenue from Go-LIF sales are in addition to revenue from sales of disposable items for the company SpineAssist robotic spinal surgery system.

Mazor said that at least one hospital now uses the Go-LIF implants as part of its standard procedure for spinal surgery. The company therefore expects that hospital to buy more implants.

Mazor's share price for 3.5% in morning trading to NIS 11.40, giving a market cap of NIS 232 million.
