IAI and US partner awarded $50m US Air Force deal

IAI and InterConnect Wiring will rewire F-15 fighter aircraft.

Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. (IAI) (TASE: ARSP.B1) and US partner InterConnect Wiring have been awarded a $50 million contract by the US Air Force's Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR). InterConnect Wiring serves as lead contractor in the project for rewiring F-15 fighter aircraft. Implementation of the program will begin in early 2011.

IAI has extensive experience in all areas related to military aircraft and proven performance in the field of electrical wiring harnesses.

IAI's LAHAV Division general manager Yossi Melamed said: "We are happy to collaborate with American companies on such an important project, which extends the life of the American Air Force's F-15 aircraft. Both our American partners and the customer will benefit from the vast experience IAI offers in military aircraft upgrading, as well as its proven capabilities in electronics and wiring of aerial platforms."

InterConnect president John Ashour said, "We are honored to have been selected to provide the rewire packages for this extremely important USAF F-15 program."
