Harel Insurance Investments and Financial Services Ltd. (TASE: HARL) today launched a iPhone application, "Harel on the Roads", for easy and available documentation of damage to vehicles in the event of an accident, and sending the documentation to the insurance company for further handling.
Users use the application to photograph the damage at the scene of the accident, as well as the license plates of the vehicles involved, traffic signs, and so forth. The users can mark the damage to their vehicle, and then e-mail the pictures.
The application guides users on filling out the relevant details for handling the accident. A detailed report is later forwarded to the insurance agent. The application includes information about nearby garages, assessors, windshield repairmen, towing companies, and critical phone numbers of service providers and customer call centers.
Harel on the Roads can be downloaded for free. It aims to help policyholders to step-by-step undertake the initial checks after an accident.
