Elbit Systems wins US Air Force deal

The company will develop new head-up displays for the C-17 cargo plane.

Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) wholly owned US subsidiary, Elbit Systems of America LLC has won a contract from Boeing Company (NYSE: BA) to develop the C-17 replacement head up display for the US Air Force. Elbit Systems did not disclose the size of the contract, saying only that it "not in an amount that is material" to the company.

The replacement head up displays are for USAF C-17 Globemaster cargo planes.

Elbit Systems' share price rose 2.5% on Nasdaq yesterday to $51.88, giving a market cap of $2.21 billion, but fell 1.3% by midday on the TASE today to NIS 181.
